Manel Anoro

Manel Anoro's work is grounded by the concerns of traditional art, but particularly influenced by the french fauves of the early 20th century.

Led by Henri Matisse, fauvism produced paintings with simplified content and nature-based subjects radically liberated from reality in color and form. This creatively fertile, whimsical, and idiosyncratic part of Spain which Anoro depicts in his work, began as a land of down to earth farmers.
